Inspiration to get you started.

For motivation and inspiration to kickstart your decluttering journey, check out the documentary  "The Minimalists: Less is Now" available on Netflix. Don't be intimidated by the title; you don't have to fully embrace minimalism. Instead, consider this a great starting place to get you thinking about your relationship to ‘stuff’ and the role it plays in your life.

I’d love to know what you think!

 FAQs

  • A professional organizer is someone who focuses on helping others create better home or work environments by sorting, decluttering, and organizing their space, in order to create better efficiency, functionality, and overall quality of life.

  • Most of us would like to be more organized but lack the time, energy, or know-how to make it happen. A professional organizer can help you optimize your spaces and daily routines, so you can prioritize your time for what brings joy.

  • After your consultation, we will discuss a timeline and lay out how many estimated hours it will take to complete your project.

  • Organizing sessions are broken into the following:

    4-hours (half day)

    OR

    6-hours (full day)

…with the opportunity to add on a few hours (up to 2) at the end of a session based on need.

Please see services and pricing for more information.

  • No two projects are ever the same. The amount of time a project takes will depend on the size of the space, how much sorting, decluttering, and organizing will need to take place to meet your end goal, and your ability to make important decisions during the process.

I will make every effort to make sure the project stays on schedule.

  • Yes, it is very important that you are available during the sorting and decluttering phase of your project to help in the decision-making process of what to keep and what to re-home.

Once the decluttering phase is completed, I will be happy to implement organizing solutions for your space, either with you or without you present, depending on your preference and comfort level.

  • Although it is tempting to clean your space before our first session or even before your consultation, it’s best not to so that I can see your room in its natural state and better understand what kind of challenges you are facing.

That said, it is helpful to have your daily chores done, laundry, dishes, etc. to help the project move as smoothly as possible.

  • I understand that people keep things for a lot of different reasons. And as these are your things, you are in complete control of what you keep and what you re-home. I encourage you to watch the video The Minimalists: Less is Now and start thinking about your relationship to ‘stuff’ and the role it plays in your life. There also are a series of questions that may be helpful as we declutter your space:

    ~Do I love this item?

    ~Would I buy it again?

~Could this item benefit someone else more than myself?

~Is this item stained, broken, or damaged?

~What is motivating me to keep this item?

Ultimately, the choice is always yours and I will respect your decisions without judgement.

  • Yes! Included in each session is one carload of items taken to a donation center. Check out services and pricing for more details if you need help with more than one load.

  • Yes, our work together is always confidential! It is my highest goal to earn and keep your trust from start to finish. Details and photos will never be shared without your written permission.

  • Because we are organizing for your space and not your things, it is important to start with sorting and decluttering before we buy any new or additional bins or baskets. You may have multiple of certain items or realize you no longer need something you thought you would.

When we are finished with the decluttering phase, we will implement bins, baskets, shelves, etc. to provide a place for everything and ensure that your things are quick and easy to clean and pick up after use. There is never a markup for purchased storage containers and if you would prefer to use what you already have, that is perfectly okay!

  • We value your time and understand that you do as well. Please provide as much time as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment or organizing session. This advance notice allows me to offer my time to someone else who may benefit from it.

  • Home. Simplified. accepts payment by check, cash, or Venmo.
